The Manhattan School for Children is a parent choice school, which means parents are expected to be active participants in their children's education. For some families that might mean weekly involvement, while for others it may mean participating in a special fundraiser or special outing with the children. Joining a school committee is an important way to share in the life of our school. In our experience, the children benefit greatly through the involvement of their families, not only because the school is improved but also because as the children watch us work together, they learn to value work and their school in a new way. They understand the importance we place on our school and it helps them feel part of a true community of learners. Remember, to be a part of a community you must participate in that community. The time you spend for the school comes back to you in rich friendships and connections. MSC Volunteer Committees and their Chair/Contact persons are listed below: Use the feedback form at the bottom of this page to volunteer and provide feedback to the committee of your choice.
